Mubasher: Gold prices settled higher on Friday, gaining 0.5% for the week.
Comex February gold went up by $5.8, or 0.4%, to settle at $1,560.1 per ounce.
By 06:57 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, inched down 0.08% to 97.37.
